Editorial Standards

The Method Behind the Record.

Areven Journal operates under a defined set of editorial principles that govern how articles are researched, written, reviewed, and corrected. This page documents those principles in full, in the interest of transparency with the publication's readership.

01 — Classification

What Areven Journal Is.

Areven Journal is an independent editorial publication exploring everyday supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and active lifestyle choices for men. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

The publication does not sell, recommend, or promote specific supplement products or brands. It does not accept advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate arrangements of any kind. The editorial independence this affords is not incidental — it is the foundation on which the publication's value to its readership is built.

Areven Journal is a documentation resource, not a wellness service. Articles are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday supplementation habits and nutritional awareness for active men. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.

Content published by Areven Journal is selected based on published nutritional research and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication. The publication's scope is observation: what active men are doing with their supplement habits, what published nutritional literature notes about the nutrients involved, and what patterns emerge from consistent documentation over time.

02 — Process

How an Article Reaches Publication

01

Topic Identification

Article topics are identified from reader correspondence, published nutritional literature, and the editors' observation of patterns in men's supplement journalling activity. Topics are selected for their relevance to the publication's documentation scope.

02

Research and Drafting

The writer reviews relevant published nutritional research, collects observations from reader correspondence where applicable, and drafts the article in Areven Journal's observational register. Sources are cited where appropriate.

03

Editorial Review

Every article is reviewed by at least one second editor before publication. The review checks factual accuracy against cited sources, editorial consistency with the publication's voice and scope, and the absence of inadvertent prescriptive or directional language.

04

Publication and Correction

Articles are published with full author attribution and publication date. Corrections, when required, are appended to the original article with a correction note and date. The correction is noted publicly and no attempt is made to obscure the original text.

03 — Sources

Source Standards and Verification

Accepted Source Categories

  • Published nutritional research available through public repositories or institutional access

  • Nutritional data from established independent nutritional databases

  • Reader correspondence used as observational documentation, not as evidence

  • Established editorial publications in adjacent fields when cited in context

Excluded Source Categories

  • Supplement brand publications, product white papers, or brand-funded research

  • Anecdotal claims without published nutritional research support

  • Social media content, influencer claims, or marketing materials of any kind

  • Sources where the commercial interests of the publisher may affect findings

04 — Accuracy

Accuracy and Corrections Policy

Areven Journal takes editorial accuracy seriously. When an error is identified in a published article — whether by the editorial team, a reader, or an external party — the following process applies:

  1. 01

The error is reviewed against the original source material to confirm its nature and scope.

  2. 02

The corrected text is updated in the article, and a correction note is appended below the article with the date of the correction and a brief description of what was changed.

  3. 03

No attempt is made to remove or obscure the correction note. The original error and the correction are both documented in the public record.

  4. 04

Where an error materially affects the editorial conclusions of an article, a correction summary is noted at the top of the article rather than appended at the end.

Report an Error

Readers who identify an error in a published article are encouraged to contact the editorial team. Please include the article title, a description of the error, and, where possible, the published nutritional research source that contradicts the text. The editorial team will review all correspondence and respond within three to five working days.

05 — Disclosure

Writer Disclosure Policy

Writers contributing to Areven Journal are required to disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter or their editorial perspective. This includes:

  • Employment or consulting arrangements with supplement brands or retailers

  • Equity or financial interest in any supplement-related company

  • Receipt of complimentary products or services from supplement brands

  • Any other arrangement that a reasonable person would consider a potential conflict of interest

Where a disclosure is required, it is noted at the foot of the relevant article. The Areven Journal editorial team does not accept articles on topics where a writer's undisclosed commercial interests would make independent editorial judgment impossible.

The editorial team at Areven Journal currently holds no commercial relationships with any supplement brand, retailer, distributor, or related entity. This applies to all current contributing writers. The publication is funded by its readership through direct access, not by commercial arrangements.

06 — FAQ

Common Methodology Questions

No. Areven Journal does not make quantity recommendations for any supplement or nutrient. Those conversations belong with a qualified wellness professional who can assess individual dietary patterns, nutritional requirements, and health history. The publication documents observational patterns in men's supplement habits — not directives for individual practice.

The publication's writers are journalists and editorial writers, not qualified nutrition professionals. Areven Journal is an editorial publication, not a wellness service. Articles reflect the writers' observations and their reading of published nutritional research. For professional nutritional guidance, readers are encouraged to consult a qualified wellness or nutrition professional.

Topics are selected based on their prevalence in reader correspondence, their representation in published nutritional research, and their relevance to the active lifestyle habits of men in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. No commercial consideration influences topic selection. The editorial team does not cover supplements at the request of brands, distributors, or other commercially interested parties.

Reader correspondence, including supplement journal observations, is welcomed and may be used as observational reference material for future articles. Readers should indicate clearly whether they are comfortable with their observations being referenced in editorial content, and whether they prefer to be cited or remain anonymous.
